On Monday, the court was told call records and evidence retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt repeatedly demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout that period.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most covered child disappearance cases and is still unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

A separate voicemail, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm overweight and not pretty like Madeleine was, but I believe what I believe."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's recording stated: "What if there is a tiny probability that I am Madeleine? Then what? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a existence here in Poland, I only wish to understand," the message continued.

The jury was informed that through electronic messages, text messages and calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a bid to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

The investigator, a data specialist with law enforcement who compiled the data, told the court there "showed no any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally communicated with acquaintances of the McCanns, according to the call data.

On 9 October 2024, Mr McCann answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "the wrong phone."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording saying "I will continue and I plan to establish my point."

The court heard the co-defendant developed a association online with Ms Wandelt prior to joining her on a trip to the McCanns' home in that area in last December.

Call logs revealed Mrs Spragg had communicated using communication app to Mrs McCann to state the media had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the period preceding the trip to the village, the county, in that winter.

The court heard message exchanges between the two individuals, in that autumn, planning trying to get Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from utensils at a restaurant.

"We need to assert ourselves," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the visit to their house, Mrs Spragg transmitted a text which stated: "We are positioned adjacent to the McCanns' house with our headlights off resembling investigators. I had hoped to do this with someone else I never thought I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The proceedings proceeds.
