The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published more than 40 books in total, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
